North Barrington, IL – Medical Murray, a leading device designer, developer and contract manufacturer announced today, the hiring of Mr. Eric Leopold as Vice President of Business Development in the Western U.S. region.
Eric brings over 20 years of extensive engineering management, research and design expertise to his new role at Medical Murray. With a strong track record of success, Eric was most recently with Altura Medical where he led the research and development team in the design of a novel endovascular AAA graft system. Prior, he worked for several notable start-ups and fortune 100 corporations including ProMed, NovoStent, Micrus (acquired by J&J), W.L. Gore & Associates and Guidant.

Eric is also a medical device expert in product design and development, and has a successful track record of launching intricate medical devices used in cardiovascular, neurovascular, and peripheral arenas. Throughout his career, Eric has been named on more than 30 U.S. patents in multiple applications.

Eric holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, an MS in Materials Engineering from San Jose University, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
