THE INCREASING DEMAND FOR SMALLER CATHETERS, surgical and implanted devices requires parts and and assemblies with a total volume of less than 100mm3 volume.
Our patented SesameTM injection molding machine can produce nano-molded components in thermoplastic, silicone rubber or bioabsorbable materials. The machines small melted volumes, small nozzle, and linear servo motor injection unit provides high injection speeds for parts with minimal runners and sprues.
Insert molding as an assembly technique is an integral part of our development and production capability. Vertical and horizontal injection molding machines, utilizing easy to replace small master unit dies, allow quick changes and low cost steel tooling. Typical examples of this include:
- Encapsulated marker bands
- Overmolded “Y” connections for multi-lumen tubing
- Luer fittings
- Catheter tips
- Lumen transitions
We also insert mold over ceramics, metals and multiple polymer materials such as silicone rubber over thermoplastic.
